Wedding photography sure has changed from ten or twenty years ago. Just twelve years ago, when my brother got married (I was only 16 years old, for the record), he received a box of 4×6 proofs that he had to choose from to include in the album. Whatever photos didn’t make it in the album had no home, unless he wanted to order prints from the photographer. Huh?
Moving Into This Century
It’s a little different now, although there are some photographers still operating on that old model. People have come to expect to get all of their photos when the wedding is over. Now that things are digital, there are many ways to accommodate. Here’s how we do it…
The Blueflash Process
We’re not into holding your wedding photos hostage. If you want to go print a 4×6 or an 8×10, go crazy. Bring your files to wherever you print photos and go for it. When we complete your wedding, you receive all your final images at full-resolution with rights. What we also do for you is provide you with a password protected onllne gallery.
The Online Gallery
Why a password? Well, most people don’t want a bunch of strangers gawking at their most intimate moments. The convenience of posting photos online is too good to give up just because of a privacy issue. The solution? Using a password to gain access. We choose something that all your family and friends would know but strangers wouldn’t.
Having your images available to share with whoever you want just by sending a link and a password is huge! Especially when everyone wants to see your photos right when you get back from your honeymoon.
Our online gallery even offers the convenience of ordering a few prints and having them delivered to your doorstep. It’s just a nice little added perk. Now grandma is happy.
